Chemical Sprayer Attachment

Wouldn't it be better and cheaper if there were an alternative to broadcasting herbicides in vineyards, orchards and nurseries?  Our chemical sprayer is designed to be activated only when the Mow-Around, Mini-Shredder (photo at bottom of page) or Mini-Tiller attachment retracts around a tree, vine or post. Below is a TSC flail with twin Mow-Arounds, each fitted with a spray nozzle that sprays only when the Mow-Arounds retract.  The hydraulic radiator prevents the two Mow-Around mowers from overheating the independent hydraulic pump.  This type of machine will be custom-built to meet the layout and spacing requirements of a nursery, orchard or vineyard.

As pictured at right, the mini-shredder mows grass and shreds debris around the trunks of vines or trees, and under trellises and irrigation lines, while the TSC flail mower mows the middles of rows. The sprayer is triggered when the hydraulic sensor retracts the mini-shredder around the trunk of the plant. The chemical is sprayed, therefore, only in the area directly at base of the trunk, significantly reducing your herbicide use. The sensor retracts the mini-shredder approximately 2 inches in advance of the plants' trunks. With the addition of the chemical sprayer, you can insure that no weeds are allowed to grow up against the plants. For more information on the mini-shredder, click here.

Circled in photo above are the independent hydraulic pump, hydraulic radiator, and sprayer tank.
