Mow vineyards, orchards, nurseries or under fences in one pass. The Mow-Around/flail combination mower attaches to the tractor's three-point hitch and can be equipped with a lateral hydraulic cylinder, allowing the operator to shift the mower to the side of the tractor and cut under low-hanging branches. While in operation the weight of the mower rides on the rear roller, which also controls the cutting height. They can mulch branches and pruning debris in addition to cutting grass and weeds. They do NOT throw rocks or debris like disk mowers, making them much safer to operate.
The "Mow-Around" can be equipped with a hydraulic sensor rod which hydraulically retracts the cutting disk, allowing it to cut around orchard trees, nursery stock or mature vines WITHOUT damaging the bark. Without the sensor, the disk will mow to within about 1 ½ inches of a fencepost or tree. The disk rotates 360°, and rolls around the post and springs back into position. This attachment will reduce or eliminate herbicide use and the need to manually trim fencerows.
The Mow-Around moves in and out without operator control. A heavy-duty leaf spring carries the weight, allowing the disk to follow the contours of the ground, independent of the flail. We can also build a Mow-Around on BOTH sides of the flail, further reducing your trips through a vineyard, nursery or orchard. (click here for photo)

The "Mow-Around" has an independent hydraulic pump to prevent over-heating the tractor's hydraulics. It is available in two diameters: 27 inches and 33 inches.
